Minister Marcella VanBurkleo
Margie graduated from Dental Assisting training in 1981. in 2014 she graduated Bible college with her Associates degree. She has over 30 years of experience in the medical field. Her career has ranged from surgical assistant to practice management. She has multiple certificates and licenses from radiology to Phlebotomist. Her passion is case management. Margie said she draws from her training during bible college to fuel her desire to help others. “As we try to Love like Jesus and serve without boundaries. So many times I find clients in trauma from the issues of life they are facing. They just need someone outside the situation to guide them. “ Serving at Covenant with Christ gives her the opportunity to change lives in the community by helping others. She is currently employed at Texas Emergency Hospital.
Dr. Herb Hawthorne
School of Ministry Academic Dean
Dr. Herb Hawthorne has been a bi-vocational minister for over thirty years. He is credentialed with the Independent Assemblies. Through his years of ministry, most of the time has been spent on the evangelistic field ministering the word and in music. Besides the evangelistic field, Herb has also served for seven years as the Praise & Worship leader at Trinity Tabernacle Assembly of God, an associate pastor at the San Diego Dream Center and a lead pastor at Church of the New Beginning in Huffman TX. He and his wife Jean have also served on numerous short-term mission fields and in prison ministry. Herb has an Associates of General Business and a Bachelors of Pastoral Ministry and Evangelism from Southwestern Assemblies of God University, a Master’s degree in Biblical literature from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary and a Doctorate of Theology at the Clarion School of Ministry & Seminary
Minister Tammy Wood
Tammy Wood is a licensed minister through World Ministry Fellowship. She earned her masters degree in business with an emphasis in accounting in 2008 from Sam Houston State University. She has over 20 years experience in accounting. In 2014, Tammy earned her associates in Biblical Theology at Covenant with Christ International. Tammy has served her community since earning her associates by operating a food pantry for five years and serving as comptroller for Covenant with Christ for the past five years.
Tara Devon Robertson

Tara graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Sam Houston State University in Education in May 1998. She has been teaching for eighteen years in public education and currently works full-time as a high school teacher. She has a heart for others to know God and to have a real relationship with Him. She has been on Covenant with Christ International’s prison team since November 2016 traveled to many countries overseas on missions’ trips and as of May 2019, graduated valedictorian of the Covenant with Christ School of Ministry. She currently serves on Covenant with Christ International’s board and the School of Ministry registrar. She has been married 25 years and has three children.
Missionary Evangelist Theresa Cain
World Missions Director
Theresa was born in Cleveland Texas and has come full circle back to her birth place to serve God and fulfill His plans for her life. She grew up in a pastor’s home, and worked at United Airlines for 26 years as a flight attendant recently retiring from there. She has been going on Missions trips since the early 90's. She graduated as valedictorian from the Covenant with Christ School of Ministry in 2014. Since that time, she has felt the call of God on her life stronger than ever before. Her heart is Missions, orphans, widows and the broken. She preaches in the prisons, Women’s conferences and crusades in Africa, Guatemala and the Philippines. Theresa organizes and conducts a variety of fundraising efforts for our overseas missions projects. Covenant with Christ supports the Osannide orphanage in Uganda Africa where they provide a home for 165 children. We send money to feed, give clean drinking water to children living under the bridge in Manila Philippines area and conduct missions trips in these countries and recent years, Guatemala. Her desire is to be a Servant of God and to go into all the world and preach the gospel and make disciples. Her motto is: THERE'S IS NO TROUBLE TOO GREAT, NO HUMILIATION TOO DEEP, NO SUFFERING TOO SEVERE, NO LOVE TOO STRONG, NO LABOR TOO HARD, NO EXPENSE TOO LARGE IF IT IS IN THE EFFORT TO WIN A SOUL.
Minister Ronald R Shirley II
Ronald Ray Shirley II is the President of Shirley and Sons where he has worked for the last 20 years. He graduated from Texas A&M with a Bachelor's degree in Construction Science in 2001. Ron is married and has two children.
